A word in The Etymologies of the 1930s appearing as archaic †harwed “left-handed”, a combination of ᴹ√KHYAR “left-hand” and N. moed “handy” (EtyAC/KHYAR). It was preceded by various deleted forms, the clearest being {harvaed}. The phonetic development of r + m > rw is unusual, the normal result being rv.
An earlier variant of S. Erchamion “One-handed” (LR/146, 405; Ety/KAB), ending instead with the adjective suffix -ui.
