An unglossed root in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s, apparently a variant of ᴱ√TELE “cover in”, with derivatives ᴱQ. talda “covered” and ᴱQ. tildi- “to cover” (QL/93). There are no signs of this root in Tolkien’s later writing.
