Quenya and Sindarin Translation

So was looking at a phrase someone wrote on a website:

"Better to fight and fall than live without hope"

The translation that was done did not use any linguistics, but used the font and just typed it out. So it's just gibberish in tengwar. So...attempted to translate in both languages. There are a few words that didn't quite fit, but here's my attempt at it:

arya mahtanna ar lanta nó avacuita estel

Q. better to fight and fall than live without hope

gant an maethar ar dant ú pencuia i charthar

S. greater to fight and fall not live without the hope

Looking to get any opinions on what would need to be changed, if anything. I'm still learning grammar rules as well.
