Me and my wife wanted to translate our real first names and surnames into Elvish. I have zero experience in this topic but tried my best by doing some research on Internet so here it what I did: Her real name's meaning is ''queen or woman ruler'' in English so we chose: ''ríen'' from Sindarin as she thought it looks better :) My name's meaning is ''lover, friend, poet/bard'' so I chose ''meldo'' from Quenya as it includes both lover and friend meanings. Our surname literally means ''stick'' so I chose ''olwen'' from Quenya. At the end I am Meldo Olwen and she became Ríen Olwen. Is all this process true for you?
Another question is that if I can translate ''english teacher'' as ''noltar na englerin'' or not?
Last question: How can I translate ''Ríen's husband'' and ''Meldo's wife'' into Quenya or Sindarin?
I know these are a lot but I appreciate your work and so grateful for this website you created. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.
