Mae Govannen!
For a while now I’ve been toying around with the idea of getting a Lord of the Rings tattoo. Specifically, I love the idea of getting ‘so be it’ tattooed. It’s a quote from Faramir in the Return of the King (Siege of Gondor chapter), and I recently met David Wenham and got it in his handwriting. But I would LOVE to have the same line written in Quenya or Sindarin beneath it.
I’ve tried translating it myself but I really have no understanding of the syntax of either language or whether Tengwar would be a better option. Even with Tengwar, I’d need a bit of help haha.
I’ve come up with: ‘san na sa’; ‘tambë ea sa’; or ‘tambë na sa’. But my presumption is that they are all wildly incorrect, so any help would be much appreciated!!
With love 🫶
