Ita na vanwa na alumë vahàya
That which is lost is never far away
Wondering if I translated this properly. I have an Elven character that I've been using this site to the best of my understanding to create an Elven language.

Assuming that you are using Quenya (which is the more ceremonial language at the time of Lord of the Rings, whereas Sindarin is the normal speech, but Quenya is still a good choice), this is good, apart from these little things:
the word 'na' (is) is normally left out, unlike English, and is usually inferred.
'Alume' is misspelled. Double the L. Also, if you are unfamiliar with the concept of the diaeresis (the two dots on the e), it's an optional thing, designed to prevent English speakers from pronouncing the e as silent.
So, from what I understand, the sentence should read more as: Ita vanwa allumë vahàya
