david wendelken0 A linnod (pl. linnyd) is a two line poem with 7 syllables per line.
These are little love poems to my wife, which I crafted so I can also use them as love poems from one book character to another, 'cause writing poetry is HARD.
I would love to see them translated into Sindarin.
Lip’s first touch filled my fëa; my love blooms in your bright gaze.
May it sate your loving heart; mine yearns your kisses afresh.
A thousand mortal years passed; my lips craved a second kiss.
Ok, that last one is an exaggeration on a personal level, but we lived 7 hours apart and couldn't get back together for several months. Certainly felt like 1000 years! And it's only about a 75 year exaggeration for the book character...
Thanks!
