Translation for alantie

I just recently listened to May It Be the song at the end of LOTR: the Fellowship of the ring and there was an elvish word alantie that i look up in the dictionary it did not show up so if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Please note, I am not familiar with Quenya and only know Sindarin. But I was able to find this posted by Roandil on Reddit, so I am confident this is correct.

Mornië alantië. "Darkness has fallen."

mornië (n.) "darkness" < morna (adj.) "black, dark" + -ië (abstract noun suffix) lanta- (v.) "to fall" > perfect alantië "has fallen"
