Alcar i Ataren
Tolkien’s translation of the Gloria Patri prayer into Quenya.
Composed in the 1950s, this work was published in the "Words of Joy (Part One)" article in Vinyar Tengwar #43. It was left unfinished, abandoned half way through the second line. No English translation was given, but we offer the original in similar fashion:
glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
as it was [in] the [beginning]...
