hadha-
verb. to cling, cleave to; (+ dative) to wait on, wait for; abide with patience
A verb in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s appearing as G. {hadh- >>} hadha- “cling, cleave to” (GL/47). In combination with the dative it meant “wait on, wait for”. It had an additional gloss “abide with patience” after it past tense forms. It was probably based on the early root ᴱ√HAŘA [HAÐA] “cleave, remain” (QL/39).
