A noun appearing as ᴱQ. mantele “gauntlet” in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s under the early root ᴱ√MAHA “grasp” that was the basis for hand words (QL/57).
Neo-Quenya: Since √MAH remained the basis for hand words in Tolkien’s later writings, I would retain ᴺQ. mantelë “gauntlet” for purposes of Neo-Quenya.
