Early Quenya

valda

noun/adjective. worth; worthy, dear

An adjective (and noun?) appearing as ᴱQ. valda “worth, worthy, dear” in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s under the early root ᴱ√VḶŘḶ [VḶÐḶ] (QL/102). It was mentioned in the contemporaneous Gnomish Lexicon in its stem form ᴱQ. vald- as the equivalent of G. bald (GL/23), elsewhere translated as “worthy, important; great, mighty” before being revised to G. {bald >>} bâl (GL/21).

Neo-Quenya: I would retain ᴺQ. valda “worth; worthy, dear” for purposes of Neo-Quenya based on a Neo-Root ᴺ√BALAD.

vildi-

verb. to matter; to be of significance, worth, moment

An (impersonal?) verb appearing as ᴱQ. vildin “it matters, is of significance, worth, moment” in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s under the early root ᴱ√VḶŘḶ [VḶÐḶ] (QL/102).

Neo-Quenya: For purposes of Neo-Quenya, I would adapt this verb as ᴺQ. valda- “to matter; to be of significance, worth, moment” based on a Neo-Root ᴺ√BALAD.
