A noun appearing as G. lim “a sheaf, bundle” in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s (GL/54), clearly based on the early root ᴱ√LIMI from which ᴱQ. limna “sheaf” was derived (QL/54).
Neo-Sindarin: Since I retain ᴺQ. limna “sheaf” for purposes of Neo-Quenya based on the later root √LIM “link, join”, I would retain and adapt the Gnomish noun as ᴺS. levn “sheaf, bundle” to be a more direct cognate.
